Residents of Sunset Lake are part of the Wake County Public School System. Holly Springs offers multiple options for students in elementary, middle, and high school. Two of the middle schools, Buckhorn Creek Elementary and Oakview Elementary, are new, adding capacity to this stellar school district. Fun fact: On Earth Day, April 22, the Wake County Public School System was named a 2021 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon District Sustainability Awardee.
